In building his strong stylistic and artistic identity, Oud master, vocalist and composer Dhafer Youssef always had a good taste for collaboration.
In his latest album "Street of Minarets" (released in January 2023), Dhafer Youssef gathered an all-star cast, including Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Dave Holland, Vinnie Colaiuta...
Sharing their artistry and experience, he unfolds his own musical identity, bringing East and West together, and freeing his instrument from its traditional role to bring it into jazz and contemporary styles.

In addition to his current tour with a blazing band, Dhafer will also propose over the next season more intimate programs, but nonetheless full of density and surprises.
First, his "Street of Minarets " trio will build on his latest repertoire with a limited rhythm section, distilling his grooves into their most essential form.
Second, Dhafer will join his long-time friend and collaborator Eivind Aarset for an exceptional duo. Known for his very broad sonic palette and mastery of textures, the Norwegian guitarist will bring an electronic counterpoint to his oud playing, outlining all the modernity in Dhafers music.

"Like Dust I May Rise"
"Dhafer Youssef is one of the most appealing stars of world music... Youssef can be deep, light-hearted, complex, funky and achingly romantic, sometimes all within one song." The Guardian
